E & A Families ~ Sneak Peek

There were a lot of text, emails and phone calls to make this session happen! Despite cold, overcast skies and gusting winds we went for it anways and Im so glad we did!

Their mom brought these fun hats which helped cheer them up in the cold!

This part of the family lives in Japan - it was a special treat to all be together!

The cold is hardest when you are little. Miss E was getting some snuggles from Mimi

This was my 5th time working with this fun family! Their mom is the queen of accessories so I knew they'd show up wearing some fun things. The girls were so excited to get their pictures taken, it was really cute. They really worked it for me.

Wilson Family ~ Sneak Peek

I met and photographed this family last year after meeting the mom on an online photography forum. Its always nerve-wrecking photographing another photographer! I was so honored when she asked me to photograph her beautiful family again this year.

Their oldest ~ age 9

Their daughter ~ age 6

Their youngest ~ age 5

This was such a sweet moment. She is a Daddy's girl and it's precious.

I love this shot. This sums up how the little guy felt about getting his pictures done. They were quite patient with us and pretty done by this point in the evening but they hung in there!

This is one amazing family - for too many reasons to list here. Obviously a family with 7 children is something amazing in and of itself! Can you imagine what it takes to get 9 people ready for a photoshoot? They did great!

I love this family. I had the honor of attending the birth of their second son as their doula and they forever have a special place in my heart.

The boys were so much fun, especially Big Brother. We had a blast playing together!

The birth of Lily

I met with this couple (friends from church) only a week or two before the baby was born. She was on the fence about natural birth and we spent a fun 2 hours talking about it, the benefits, breathing techniques, etc. They asked me to be their doula and I happily agreed! She went into labor shortly after, 2 weeks before her estimated due date. She worked hard but her labor was smooth and short once it got going. Miss Lily made quite the entrance and I was so honored and blessed to be a part of their story.

I did her newborn session also and Ill blog those soon. She's such a pretty little thing!

I photographed Miss E's family back in August and I was thrilled to get to do her 1 year portraits as well. We did a fun session before sunset - she's such a cutie!

Mimi's birth - Fort Worth Birth Photography

These are pictures from the birth of my niece, Milana. I was so thankful to be able to fly out to Vegas and be with my sister as her doula and photographer. It was a precious time for both of us. Mimi was born by emergency cesarean after her heart rate plummeted for the 3rd time. Thankfully, she is healthy and beautiful and doing well!

Candice was one of the first people I met at our new church. I liked her right away. We have been blessed to share life with them the past few years.

It is no easy feat to get 5 children and 2 adults ready for a photo shoot with multiple wardrobe changes. She gets a medal for that!

This was a very long-overdue session. We had to reschedule several times because of illness on our end so I was so glad to finally meet this sweet girl! Typically its ideal to shoot a newborn before 3 weeks but she was 5 weeks at the time of our session and did wonderfully. Isnt her hair amazing?!

Best friends

The moms in this post and the previous post are best friends with each other and also friends of mine. Their daughters were born only one day apart, at the same hospital. I was an honor to get to photograph both girls (different days though! :))

Really overcast weather was problematic in our first session so I came back for another session with this sweet girl. Even at almost 3 weeks old she was dreamy and slept a lot for us :) I usually do a lot of black and white images with newborns but this mom is super fun and great with color so I kept it for most of them.

I had the amazing honor of attending my good friend's birth a few weeks ago. I was with her as her doula in her first birth which unfortunately ended with a csection. This time we all chose to step out in faith in prayer and ask God to do big things ... and He did! She had a beautiful, intense, unmedicated VBAC with the midwifes at downtown Harris. It was an amazing experience. Even though I went as her doula I was able to pick up my camera now and then....
